Loving the simplicity of this. Masses of basic daf Loving the simplicity of this. Masses of basic daffs, just bursting into bloom. Bog myrtle, (bought from @irishgreenguys before Christmas) pussy willow and blackcurrant prunings. If you rub the blackcurrant buds you can smell cassis. Tempting!

Flowerfarmerama: Day 6, who do I love to work with Flowerfarmerama: Day 6, who do I love to work with? Well as it turns out, I have lots of collaborators in my #flowerfarmer world. There’s @michaela_vons who flexes her muscles and balances her weekday sedentary job with some weekend farming. There’s Joe from @loughowelorganicfarm who does all the brotherly stuff and who has helped me on my @neighbourfoodmarkets journey. And who provides farming, entrepreneurial and marketing advice. There are all the amazing producers from @neighbourfoodmullingar and @neighbourfoodballymahon who are such a pleasure to work with every week. My kids: I love to work with them but the converse is not true 😱! And finally, and most importantly, every single day @originalbrianbrowne is there to listen, to advise, to flex his muscles and his brain in support of this fledgling business. #flowerfarmer #farmerflorist #womenwhofarm #nodig #notill #wetdaywork #lovemyjob #outdoorwork #storiesoftheeveryday #myeveryday #muddyboots #teamflowers #friendsinflowers #theviewfromhere #flowerfarmer #supportyourlocalfarmer #farmsmall #localfarmer #cutflowerfarm #imamodernfarmer #profitablefarming #horticulturenotofficeculture
#flowerfarmerama Day 5: what did I learn about mys #flowerfarmerama Day 5: what did I learn about myself from 2020. Even without corona, 2020 was a tough year. I lost my mother, and 2 very close friends. I got laid off. But I managed to start two @neighbourfood markets, and also started my #flowerfarmer life. So I learned not to limit myself in what I believe is possible. With the support of these goofy guys there’s no limit to what I can survive and achieve.
